An overlook of the early Upper Green River rendezvous sights. During the early fur trapper days, trappers gathered here together with Indians, and trading companies to exchange trading goods. A well authored set of informational panels explains the historical context. On clear days during late light, there is also a great far view of the highest peaks in Wind River Range, almost as good as from Mt Airy to the east. Both are really just sage brush hills, even if the above 2000m elevation may make you expect otherwise from different topographies. From Trapper's Point you can spot the radio antenna up there, and see the road towards the top of Mt Airy. It is not much higher than Trapper's Point, but it is in still better position.
