The third lighthouse in the north is located in Fornells, very close to some of the best beaches in the north of Menorca. It was the first to be built on the island in 1857. Although it helped avoid some shipwrecks, many incidents continued to occur that motivated the construction of the rest of the lighthouses in the north.

The Cavalleria has a 15-meter-high tower and is located 94 meters above sea level. It is undoubtedly one of the most impressive cliffs on the island, which is why the landscape that the surroundings draw with this lighthouse in the background is spectacular. In fact, the imposing cliffs are the most spectacular thing we find at Cape Cavalleria, where the lighthouse is located. It is also another of the favorite spots for visitors to go see the sunset.

But this lighthouse can also be seen very well from the sea. We recommend taking a boat trip through the north of Menorca to see the imposing cliffs. In fact, a Menorca boat excursion is the best way to see the island from another perspective and get to know some of the best beaches in Menorca.
