The baroque basilica on the Sonntagberg is one of the most striking landmarks of the Mostviertel. Its location is extraordinary: from the top, the view extends over almost the entire Mostviertel and far beyond. From the valley, visitors and travelers can admire the church from afar.
The Sonntagberg is a place of pilgrimage, a tourist destination and a place with history. The first chapel was built here in 1440. Today's minor basilica was built by the baroque master builders Jakob Prandtauer and Josef Mungenast.

Fantastic view, beautiful basilica. Today (Saturday end of October, Corona) there were very few visitors. I enjoyed the sun on the benches on the south side of the basilica.
