I can't say anything about the chapel, but the non-alcoholic beer is a treat! Be careful, it's self-service! Funnily enough, I didn't see the signs about this outside, only inside. Unfortunately, we had already eaten, otherwise I would have happily grabbed a bite to eat here (the other guests' plates looked really good!)

The Maria Hilf Chapel in Speiden, located on the church square, is a small chapel of grace with great historical significance. It was built in 1635 by Christian Steinacher after his daughter was spared the plague by praying before a cross. The chapel formed the origin of the pilgrimage in Speiden, which later led to the construction of today's Maria Hilf pilgrimage church. Today, the chapel stands directly next to the church and is a testament to popular piety in the Allgäu region. It continues to attract pilgrims and visitors and is an important part of the region's religious tradition.
