A viewing platform suspended from a tower overlooking the strait to Taiwan. The platform design is basically that of a cable-stay bridge. The central tower is 29m high, the platform, at its highest point, hovers about 40m high.
The Chinese characters 盼归 (Pan Gui) roughly translate to ‘Hope to return back’. While Xiamen lays opposite of Taiwan, it is little know that some of the small islands immediately neighboring Xiamen in eyeshot range also belong to Taiwan.
Looking east from this platform you can see Jinmen Island, which is claimed by the PRC (China)), but governed by the ROC (Taiwan).
