Döbbelin Castle - the seat of the von Bismarck family for 19 generations - can be seen as a unique example of Altmark architecture. The current owner, Alexander von Bismarck, restored the house to its original beauty by lovingly restoring it, beginning in 1991.

It is an elongated, single-storey rendered building on a high base. The house has a hipped mansard roof and raised hipped central avant-corps on the east and west sides. There are bat dormers in the roof area. Above the portal with a double flight of steps is an alliance coat of arms in the curved tympanum: the von Bismarck family (a cloverleaf with three oak leaves) and the von Jagow family (a six-spoked wheel). In the 1970s the entrance to the park from the east side of the house was demolished due to dilapidation.

In 2004, Alexander von Bismarck built a terrace with access to the park. This restores the connection from the east side of the house to the park. Farm buildings are located to the left and right of the house. The royal stables adjacent to the cemetery were built before the castle was built. The carriages and horse stables used to be here.
Today the castle is used privately by Alexander von Bismarck and his family.
