This path is not the official Elberadweg, which runs parallel to it through the Vierlande (also very nice). The special thing is that you drive on the dike up to two kilometers from Geesthacht and have a beautiful view of the Elbe and can actually stop anywhere short or longer. The road, which is also on the dike, is often used by racing cyclists. So far I've been lucky with car traffic, in some places parked cars slow down the traffic.
