This section of the trail is a relatively easy gradual descent if you're traveling west to east, as it winds through tall grass with incredible valley views of the surrounding forest. As you hike along this section, keep an eye out in the grassy areas, where you'll likely see outlines of where a moose spent the night under the stars.
