The Bertholdstor is a picturesque passage on the city wall, which was created in 1924 on the occasion of the celebration of the 600th anniversary of the city charter. Immediately next to it, thanks to a private initiative by the Trützschler family, an interesting and extraordinary museum was created.

The visitor learns everything about milk and dairy farming in the first part of the museum, where equipment for cheese and butter preparation, packaging for dairy products and much more are shown in a rare abundance. The second part of the museum shows a unique collection of enamel signs from around 1900 to the thirties.

The privately run museum is only open by telephone appointment. It's a shame, because as a hiker you can never predict the time exactly.

Unfortunately Trütschlers milk and advertising museum was not to be visited. At the moment, opening is by appointment only! Pity!
