The Trinity Church in the village of Podolets in the Yuryev-Polsky district strongly resembles a princely mansion. The church was built in 1659 in the style of Moscow ornamental design by the Miloslavsky boyars, associates of Ivan the Terrible. The first wife of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich Romanov, Maria Ilyinichna, belonged to this royal family.
