The castle Liebenstein towers south of Neckarwestheim on a narrow ridge high above the Neckar. At the heart of the well-preserved complex is the lower castle with the keep of 1230. Also noteworthy is the castle chapel in the Renaissance style.
Today the castle is a hotel and a very good restaurant with fine cuisine, where you can of course taste regional wines.

The tower is an impressive historical building that is part of the medieval hilltop castle of the Lords of Liebenstein. The keep, which was built between 1230 and 1240, is the oldest part of the castle and originally served as a defensive structure.
The tower offers a fantastic view over the Neckar valley and the surrounding vineyards.

Liebenstein Castle is located on a mountain spur south of Neckarwestheim. The core of the complex is a reconstructed keep with the remains of a Romanesque residential building and visible traces of a large Gothic building attached to the defensive tower. The castle houses a hotel with a restaurant and a castle tavern. The castle can be visited free of charge, and the castle chapel is also open to the public.
