The Klösterl Hermitage, a historic gem in the picturesque Danube Valley, surrounded by forests and rocks, is a former Franciscan monastery dating back to 1454. The complex houses unique historical sites, including a rock-carved church with ancient frescoes, as well as caves such as the Sleeping Caves, the St. Nicholas Chapel, and the "Golden Furnace," a former alchemist's site. Furthermore, an exhibition at the monastery illustrates the region's history from the Celts and Romans to modern times.
