Illerbeuren - After the successful renovation of the listed historical Iller Bridge in Illerbeuren, the bridge structure has now been opened to the public with a big ceremony. The 90 meter long bridge, built in 1903/1904, is now part of a cycling and hiking trail.

The new Iller bridge is 96 meters long and offers more than 11 meters wide space for pedestrians, cyclists and cars. The Free State of Bavaria is contributing 2.2 million euros to the total costs of around 3.4 million euros through the government of Swabia. The bridge was inaugurated in 2011.
