A footpath and cycle path directly on the northern bank of the Danube between the Bergheim barrage and Ingolstadt. The sand washed up from the 2024 flood has now largely been removed, and the path is accessible again even with "regular" bicycles. However, a few sandy patches remain, so some caution is advised. The riverside path begins/ends near Gerolfing, and the path continues towards Ingolstadt along the dam path.

A natural route directly along the banks of the Danube. So you can cycle towards sunrise in the morning and towards sunset in the afternoon 😊
