The Plaza de los Mártires del Pueblo in Las Cabezas de San Juan is a beautiful place in the center of the city. The square is an important meeting place for people of all ages and is known for its beautiful bronze bust of Don Rafael del Riego. This monument commemorates his proclamation of the Constitution of 1812 on January 1, 1820.
