According to the Reports of Philip II, the Parish Church of San Bartolomé dates back to 1560, when the town's first inhabitants built it on the site of the old Moorish castle. Using reclaimed materials, many of its stone walls feature crosses and Visigothic and medieval motifs. It has a basilica plan, with an extension toward the apse, a gabled roof, and no tower, topped by a bell gable.
