Before World War II, Staffelde was a manor (estate) with a manor house and a park. After World War II, the village was incorporated into Poland (Stawowo), but during the delimitation of the border, changes were made to its course and then, in exchange for the incorporation of 76.5 ha into Poland with a waterworks station serving Świnoujście, an area of similar size from Staffelde was ceded to the GDR authorities. Today, the manor is used as a farm.
