The only ferry across the Elbe-Lübeck Canal, which opened in 1900, connects the communities of Siebeneichen and Fitzen. The cable ferry is a tourist attraction and transports vehicles and groups of people. Individuals are still ferried across in rowing boats. The ferry has been operated as a joint project since 2017 by the Duchy of Lauenburg district + the Siebeneichen municipality + the Siebeneichen Ferry Association.
