Neuburg Castle impresses with its blend of Renaissance and Baroque styles and its fascinating history as the former residence of the Palatinate-Neuburg.

It houses a museum that's a real insider tip. The collection of Flemish Baroque art, including works by Rubens, is particularly impressive. The castle grottoes are also not to be missed. They are artfully decorated with shells and figurines and have an almost surreal feel. The staff were extremely friendly and made the visit even more enjoyable.
