On the road from Hungerstorf to Clausdorf there is the remains of a Slavic castle rampart, which once had a diameter of 70 to 80 m. Unfortunately, it was half destroyed during the construction of the modern road, so that today only a semi-circular rampart remains. However, this is still about 6 to 7 meters high in the north and very impressive. According to the construction of the castle, it must have been a strongly fortified local princely castle of the Tollenser or Zirzipanen from the late Slavic period of the 11th/12th century. A castle gate can still be seen in the eastern part of the complex. It was located on the Kittendorfer Peene and bordered directly on the northern bank of the Great Varchentiner Lake and was a typical Slavic lowland castle. It was possibly a border castle, as there were several other castles on the small river up to the Kummerower Lake. It is very similar to the completely preserved castle in Neu-Kentzlin in the Mecklenburg Lake District. There are places to sit and a stone with a small information board on site. However, there are no parking spaces.
