Praglia Abbey is a Benedictine monastery located in the Paduan countryside, at the foot of Mount Lonzina (Colli Euganei) in the municipality of Teolo and near Abano Terme. It currently houses the National Library, which is an Italian national monument. It is currently governed by the abbot father Don Stefano Visintin and the community has about forty monks. It is possible to visit the interior and they also have a shop with products of their own production. Further information on the site: praglia.it

Along the abbey walls, you can follow a dirt road. It can be accessed by taking it to the left of the abbey entrance. Following it to its end, you'll reach the paved road at the foot of Mount Boscalbó in Tramonte. Along the dirt road, you'll come across a fork. Taking the left, you can reach the historic Al Capitello restaurant via a short but challenging climb (only accessible on foot). In my opinion, this section can be descended by mountain bike, taking due care.
