The first mention of Borowo dates back to 1386. From the mid-19th century until 1945, the estate belonged to the Grabski family. The first owner from this family was Feliks Grabski, whose grandfather lost his noble estate. He made a considerable fortune by growing sugar beets, thanks to which he was able to buy the estate in Borowo nad Bzurą near Łowicz from the Grabowskis in 1859.
