Not every slope is a descent. The view is worthwhile to take the longer, upper path from Zermützel towards Boltenmühle. A forest path then goes back downhill into the valley. If you don't brake there, that's challenging enough.

We rode the mountain bike fullys all the way around Tornowsee and Kalksee - unfortunately only sections of them could be recorded. If you are interested, check out the other tours as well.
Regarding the tour on the west side, one can say that the path is less comfortable than the two east banks. Sometimes narrow or bumpy. Definitely recommended if you like round trips :) Both east banks have almost no bathing spots. We did not see the path described by Michael.
