From the castle you have a great view over the Neckar loop near Haßmersheim. To do this, however, you would have to climb the vineyards. From the Neckar, you have to climb almost 60 meters in altitude. The ramp is worth it though. There is not a better view at many points on the Neckar Cycle Path.

Hornberg Castle owes its fame to its former owner, Götz von Berlichingen, but above all to the castle's winery. It is the second oldest still in existence in the world, having been in operation since the 12th century. The Vorderburg castle houses a beautiful panoramic restaurant with a magnificent view of the Neckar Valley and a hotel. A visit is worthwhile.
