Unfortunately a very crowded area. We were there in September and the full parking spaces upstairs are off-putting. In the high season it is not possible to drive up by car.
As soon as you move away from the main paths, it becomes quieter. In particular, the plateau next to the Strudelkopf is quiet and not as crowded as the summit itself. From the meadows on the plateau you can see the Three Peaks, the Rienz Valley in front of it and the gigantic mountain world of the Dolomites.

After great switchbacks, it is worth having a cool drink and enjoying the landscape.
Enough bike racks are provided and the E-MTB can also be charged here.
The descent that followed is peppered with many no single trails and also offers a lot of fun for experienced bikers.

Wonderful places, countless possibilities with the mtb, for more or less demanding walks, there is truly spoiled for choice. The climb to Monte Specie is magnificent, in my opinion more interesting than the nearby Picco di Vallandro, especially with the direct descent to Lake Landro. (S2 / S3 for experts)
