The Allied Museum documents the involvement and role of the Western Allies in the Federal Republic of Germany and West Berlin from 1945 to 1994 and their contribution to Berlin's freedom. These included the victorious powers of World War II: the USA, Great Britain, and France (also known as the "Western Powers"), who opposed the Soviet Union in the Cold War.
The museum was opened in 1998 in the presence of Chancellor Helmut Kohl.
