The church is in San Vicente de Villamezán (Burgos), almost on the edge of the Ebro Reservoir towards Arija and very close to the border with Cantabria.
It is located at the eastern end of the town, on a slight promontory close to the road and is a Romanesque construction that still preserves its original features, despite the reforms and extensions carried out in the post-medieval period.
It currently has a semicircular head, a church body with
two naves, a bell gable at the foot, a vestry to the north
and a southern portico.
