The Klein Park is located east of the village centre, unlike the Groot Park which is located west.

The de Spoelberch family acquired Lovenjoel as a pledge in 1630 and after the sale in 1649 they permanently owned it. The domain of the de Spoelberch family, lords of Lovenjoel, extended over two parks located along the Molenbeek: the Groot Park and the Klein Park with the church in between. The Klein Park with a surface area of almost 11 ha, originated around the old Hof ten Poele, converted into a country house, which was already mentioned at the end of the 16th century.

Today the Klein Park is dominated by the Medical Pedagogical Institute Ave Regina, located between the Hof ten Poele, later Felixhof, and the village church. Construction started just before the Second World War. The institution has grown into a care and guidance centre for young people and adults. The central access road of the institution ends at the U-shaped Felixhof, located to the east of the institution.
