Fully paved aside from a couple of 10m sections of gravel, though the road is bumpy compared to the highway. There is a massive climb and descent exiting the highway, then you descend over many km down to Samsun. There are a lot of dogs. The strays in the dog colony between the towns were chilled out, but in both towns along the route big groups of dogs would bark and chase. They weren’t aggressive enough to convince me to stop, just annoying.
