The water of the reservoir shimmers deep blue from afar. Next to it are the huge rock cones on the opposite edge of the canyon, whose shape is reminiscent of traditional African round huts (rondavels). The hard rock domes eroded more slowly than the softer rock layers underneath, and this is how these bizarre rocks were formed over time. They were named after three wives of a local chief who won a battle.

It's great that there are opportunities to walk all the way to the edge here, and it's safe.
