Sun Yat-Sen (1866-1925) is considered the ‘Father of Modern China’, by both, the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of China (Taiwan). He played a vital role leading up to the fall of the Qing Dynasty and was the Provisional President of the Republic of China in 1911.
