The Nordsternpark is an interesting area with exciting architecture in buildings and bridges. In addition, it offers gardens, playgrounds and museum facilities. The park is suitable, for example, for a quiet end to excursions in the area in the Gelsenkirchen area.
The park is constantly open on numerous entrances. Admission is free!
In the park there are in particular around the winding towers gastronomic facilities and beer gardens. At some parking lots there is a mobile kiosk for an ice cream in between.

Beautifully landscaped park on the former colliery. From Nordsternturm you have a great view. On the tower stands the huge Hercules, at 83 meters height. There are many ways to strengthen yourself in the park.

The landscape park is located on the site of the former coal mine Nordstern in Gelsenkirchen.
After the closure of the coal mine in 1993, the site was renovated and transformed into a landscaped park. In 1997 a federal horticultural show took place here.
