The sculpture "Aspazija in the Dunes" is more than just a monument - it is a tribute to the great Latvian poet and activist Aspazija, whose full name was Elza Rozenberga. This sculpture, created by Olga Šilova, is not only a symbol of Aspazija's literary heritage, but also of her contributions to women's emancipation and the democratic movement in Latvia. In the middle of the dunes and with a view of the sea, it radiates calm and dignity, as if it were still inviting us to immerse ourselves in her world of thoughts.

The location of the sculpture was not chosen by chance: it is opposite Aspazija's former house, where she spent the last years of her life. This connection between the sculpture, nature and her former home gives the place a special depth. Here, in the dunes of Dubulti, one senses a kind of timeless dialogue between Aspazija's legacy and the environment that inspired her.

The sculpture shows Aspazija in full size and wearing an elegant dress typical of the period. A cat at her side reminds us of her affection for these animals.
