Visitors can discover fine pieces of jewellery, warm up in a yurt or the pirate tent with a fire punch and organic mulled wine, which, by the way, has become ten cents more expensive this year. "We have increased our drink prices in line with inflation," says the market operator Hallo. In addition, the organizer provided all chains of lights with LED lamps, which would only be switched on when it was already dark outside. The Christmas market runs from Wednesday November 23rd to Friday December 23rd. Opening times are: Monday to Wednesday from 4 p.m. to midnight, Thursday from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., Friday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Continuing south, the route leads through an underpass under the tracks. Then we turn left into Thalkirchner Straße. After a few meters, an unusual sight reveals itself: a ship on a railway bridge.
The "Alte Utting" has been enlivening the unconventional scene around the Schlachthofviertel with gastronomy, events and culture since 2018. The
disused excursion steamer MS Utting was built in 1950 and was part of the Bavarian lake fleet on Lake Ammersee. In 2017, the ship was due to be scrapped. The Wannda e.V. association found out about this and campaigned for the ship to be cut into two parts and brought to Munich in a complex transport. Here it found a new harbor on a disused railway bridge, north of the wholesale market hall.
