The Bismarckturm Bad Salzuflen is a 18 meter high Bismarckturm on the Vierenberg between deserts, Schötmar, Hollenstein and Bad Salzuflen in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Lippe in Germany. The tower was built according to a design of the Baurates Böhmer from Detmold. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on April 1, 1900, the birthday of Otto von Bismarck. Amtshauptmann Theodor Heldman delivered the ceremonial address in front of about one thousand members of the singing, gymnastics and warrior associations who had appeared in the district. Half a year later, on October 14, 1900, the anniversary of the Battle of Leipzig, the tower built of carved sandstone and bricks was inaugurated. The construction cost was 12,000 gold marks; Among others, 8,000 marks were brought in through a "fair for the benefit of the fund for the Bismarckthurm" and part of the Hoffmann's starch factories donated. From the observation deck, the view extends over Bad Salzuflen, the Teutoburg Forest with the Hermannsdenkmal, the Lippe mountain country up to the Kaiser Wilhelm monument at the Porta Westfalica.
