Bust of Louis Neefs. Louis Neefs (Gierle, August 8, 1937 – Lier, December 25, 1980) was a Belgian singer and champion of Flemish song and Flemish cabaret. Neefs' feeling for strong songs and quality, and his characteristic deep, warm voice made him one of the most famous Flemish singers. His most famous songs are Benjamin, Margrietje, I have worries, At the beach of Ostend, Jennifer Jennings, Martine, Let us a flower and Annelies from Sas van Gent. Louis spent a large part of his childhood in primary school in Gierle.
