The collection of the Maurice Dufresne Museum, located in the mill of Marnay in Azay-le-Rideau, includes more than 3,000 retro-mechanical machines and tells the story of the mechanization of agriculture, the evolution of means of transport and the First and Second World Wars. Maurice Dufresne, scrap dealer and visionary entrepreneur, has dedicated his life to saving this heritage of gears and steel from destruction: cars, bicycles, planes, trucks, motorbikes, tractors, agricultural and military machinery, looms, children's games, etc.
