This challenging climb is not very well known. It starts with ridiculously steep sections, changing slowly into a more steady -but still steep- climb. This variation makes it -I believe- the hardest climb in the area.
In the higher parts there is more tree coverage to protect you from the sun. This climb is also much quieter (less traffic) than the other nearby cols.
At the top you end up on the Route des Crêtes and you can either go left towards Bormes-les-Mimosas or go right to (the easy) Col du Canadel. You can also go straight ahead and dive into unpaved adventure…
