Just beyond the sign indicating the boundary of the Ånderdalen Nasjinal Park, there are a number of small snow fields (even in summer). In one of them we spotted a reindeer. A little further, near the top of Istind/Jieŋas, we saw a herd of about 25 animals.
We sat down and enjoyed the view of the herd for almost an hour, how they moved to the next snow field and returned, ... magical!!
