Mountain dirt road, among the most famous in Iceland, the first part of the northern stretch leads to Landmannalaugar, starting from the F26. In the summer season it is traveled daily by hundreds of people, who travel by various means of transport, including buses.
But the most beautiful part of the F208 is the next one, which heads south, entering the mountainous and desolate area. The road is entirely cycleable, with interesting and challenging ups and downs. Some easy fords should also be taken into account. You will be captivated by the beauty of the landscapes that will alternate along the route.
Note that for a long stretch there is no telephone network coverage, you will remain totally isolated without connection; the F208 has little traffic, in my case I passed a total of two cars.
