Don't rush and hurry, just enjoy!

Summer holidays are experiencing a renaissance on Lake Millstatt - even in winter. Between opulent Wilhelminian villas, you can unwind on the snow-covered lake shore, dive into the crystal-clear water after a sauna and fortify yourself with delicacies from local producers - from Reinanke to Reindling. At night, you can marvel at the expanse of the Carinthian sky in the bivouac under the stars and know: That was it, the perfect day on Lake Millstatt, full of encounters between mountain and lake.
When the fog rises in cotton-soft clouds over Lake Millstatt in the morning, it is still "stü uman See" (quiet around the lake). But unlike in the famous Carinthian song, you don't hear "de Ruadar schlågn und an Vogl im Rohr drin bei da Finstar klågn" (the oars beating and a bird in the reeds wailing in the darkness), but a gentle splash as the first bather jumps into the water. For melancholy.
