The Floriansberg is a hill near Metzingen, which is in front of the Albtrauf.
The Floriansberg, also known as Metzingen's local mountain, is of volcanic origin. The mountain belongs to the so-called Swabian volcano. Because of the remote location from the Albtrauf, you have an impressive view of the Albtrauf between the Teckberg and the Achalm from the summit of the Floriansberg.
The view from the Floriansberg threatened to become overgrown. For several years goats have been grazing on the slopes of the Floriansberg and the neighboring Jusi, thus preventing the emergence of a closed forest on this mountain.
