The Counts Piazzoni, owners of the Castel Cerreto and Battaglie farm, built in 1858 in memory of the apparitions of Lourdes, the grotto of the Madonna del Bosco, not far from the main house.
The cave was built by the laborers and peasants of Castel Cerreto in the cerri wood between the two canals, the Brembilla canal to the north and the Sopra canal to the south, using the stones of the Brembo
