You are still in the middle of civilization. There is still a lot going on at the Seegrubenbahn mountain station and in the restaurant. So treat yourself to a coffee before that changes and you immerse yourself in the Karwendel mountains! As soon as you set off and walk along the narrow mountain trails up here, it becomes quiet and idyllic.
Restaurant opening times:
Monday to Sunday: 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday: 8.30 a.m. to 11.30 p.m.

The Seegrube is the middle station of the Nordkette cable car. From the Innsbruck Congress Center you can take the funicular to the Hungerburg station and from there in two sections of the cable car first to the Seegrube middle station and finally to the Hafelekar mountain station.
The timetable is seasonal.
The restaurant closes well before the cable car. This last stop should be used on Mondays and Tuesdays, because the restaurants near the Hungerburg are closed and you have a wonderful view over Innsbruck and the surrounding mountains from the Seegrube terrace. It's also delicious!
