In 1973, the fitness trail was one of the first to be built in the Wildenloh state forest.

In the approximately 190 hectare Wildenloh state forest, there is a fitness trail that is not only ideal for sporting activities. There is a 3,000 m running track and a fitness area with strength and conditioning equipment. This way, you can keep fit in the middle of nature.

The fitness trail is also ideal for a walk with children, as there is also a playground.

Did you know that, according to legend, the Wildenloh is a "Düwelswark" (devil's work)? According to legend, the following happened:

The Wildenloh is probably the remainder of a vast forest area that stretched from Oldenburg to Klein-Scharrel around 8,000 years ago and disappeared into the expanding Wildenloh Moor. Today's Wildenloh covers around 190 hectares and offers a varied forest landscape due to the different soil conditions.
