In flamboyant Gothic style, the tower rises in the heart of Square Saint-Jacques. Built between 1509 and 1523, it is all that remains of the old Saint-Jacques-de-la-Boucherie church. This was the starting point of the Via Turonensis (the way to Tours) of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.
