The Col du Pigeonnier is located on the D 3 at an altitude of 432 m between Wissembourg and Climbach in the Northern Vosges, in the Bas-Rhin. The road passes between the summits of the Scherhol, on which was established until the Second World War a tower of the Vosges Club, and the Eselsberg.

from the west side with a moderate incline up and then on the east side down to Wissembourg. That is fun. Attention: Please not at times when there are many motorbikes.

Excellent starting point for bike and hiking tours, e.g. to the Route des Vosges, to Wingen and Niederschlettenbach, or via Climbach and the D22 to the Col de Pfaffenschlick (with gun turret of the Maginot Line) or to the foundations and portal of a chapel from the 12th century. There is also a bivouac option in the refuge of the Club des Vosges at the top of the pass
