The Jagdhaus Schellenberg is a completely renovated and modernized half-timbered house with a varied history, which is located between the districts of Heisingen and Stadtwald in the heart of the Schellenberg Forest.

The landowners and owners of Schloss Schellenberg, the Freiherren Vittinghoff-Schell, had the original Kotten built in 1836 as a residential building for forest workers. Later, the “Schöne Aussicht” coffee bar was established here. Surrounded by forest and hiking trails, the unique view from the terrace rewards every climb from Baldeneysee to Jagdhaus Schellenberg.

It offers a magnificent view with a view of the Essen-Ruhr Valley, including Baldeneysee, directly from a modern and comfortably furnished terrace or a two-part dining room (1x rustic half-timbered interior & 1x modern glass front architecture, both flooded with light) a gastronomy (restaurant) upscale. Stop off and enjoy food & drinks with a view!
