In 1881, an Old Lutheran congregation in Rabber split off from the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover and founded the Trinity Congregation. The church, built in brick in 1896-1897 according to plans by the Hildesheim architect Werner Söchtig, is a neo-Gothic hall church with a polygonal altar house and a tower made of ashlar in the style of the Hanover School of Architecture.
