The megalithic passage grave from the Neolithic near Lütow is an example of large stone graves in the Pomeranian region. Lütow is located near Neuendorf on the Gnitz peninsula on the Achterwasser, Gnitz belongs to the island of Usedom. The facility was built around 3,000 BC by people of the funnel cup culture. The actual grave was accessible from the east through a corridor made of stone slabs. Of the original three or four burial chambers, only two still exist today. A mighty beech tree stands in the middle of the tomb and shields the entire square.
